This jean has all the details associated with a traditional five pocket western but with a very loose, wide leg fit that gives it a very HANSEN vibe. The outside seam twists towards the back giving a natural, organic shape to the leg and adds an unusual detail. The jeans have contrast top-stitching which follows a distinctive non-parallel design on the back pocket and minimal studs and rivets. There are also traditional hidden rivets on the inside to reinforce the back pockets and they have a stud button fly.

This very special fabric is created in Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim. Known as ‘neppy’ denim, it has distinctive white flecks (or ‘neps’) giving it a used, vintage appearance. It is a classic 13oz weight denim which means it is tough and durable but is comfortable to wear. The jeans have had a single wash.
